After the kittens are rescued, Evie and Victor gather all the cat witches and teach them that kindness is the most powerful magic. In order to spread this new, yet very old, magic, from October 1st till Halloween, Evie sends the cat witches to scout out every school, playground, and house to find children who are being kind. When they catch a child being sweet, they wave their wands and leave them a treat! When you are not looking, they are leaving treats on your desk, on your pillow, on your favorite book, or in your lunch box. Have you been kind?
Since kindness changed Alice’s evil ways, she is invited to live at Cat Witch Academy to work as the Head Cat Groomer and Kitchen Witch. She spends her mornings cooking the cat witches' favorite meals and the afternoons brushing hair, trimming nails, and primping hats and cloaks. She is a very busy witch but LOVES the company of her cat witch friends!
Victor named the kittens Spirit, Trick, Howl, and Boo. Since they cannot attend the academy until they are at least 6 months old, they are sent to live with Mrs. Grimshaw at Grimshaw Pumpkin Patch Farm. Who is Mrs. Grimsha,w you ask? You can find out in Heddy Clark’s next book, Rotten Patch Jack!
